Wolfsburg submit bid for PSG forward Hugo Ekitike amid interest from Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolves

PGS is looking to sell French centre-forward Hugo Ekitike (21) during this winter’s transfer window. The former Stade de Reims player has been ostracised by Paris Saint-Germain after refusing to move the other way in a swap deal for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani in a player-plus-cash deal last summer. Despite his serious lack of game time, Ekitike is still attracting interest from abroad.

On Monday, L’Equipe reported that Wolves have enquired about the possibility of bringing Ekitike to Molineux over a loan deal, which would include the option to make the move permanent. The race to sign the out-of-favour PSG forward is seemingly heating up with Wolfsburg taking their interest further. According to L’Equipe, the Bundesliga outfit have submitted a loan deal offer to PSG, without the possibility of making the move permanent.

Wolfsburg may face domestic competition in the race to sign Ekitike with Eintracht Frankfurt stepping up as well. The 2022 Europa League winners have resumed negociations with PSG, given their struggles to convince Stade Rennais to let go of Arnaud Kalimuendo.
