Game of the week: Olympique de Marseille v Stade Rennais, Sunday 19:45 (UK)

It will be a busy few days for Marseille. Having scraped a win against Ajax, Gennaro Gattuso’s side host Stade Rennais before hosting Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday. This feels like a season-defining few days for Marseille who could either made big inroads and put themselves back into European contention, or consign themselves to mid-table mediocrity. Both games will be tough: Rennes are enjoying a new-manger bounce, whilst Lyon, who now have Pierre Sage at the helm, will be an unknown quantity.

Elsewhere, PSG face a tough trip to Le Havre, who have already shown themselves capable of frustrating the top sides. Nice travel to Nantes where Jocelyn Gourvennec will be in the dugout for the first time in 18 months. Monaco, meanwhile, host Montpellier as they look to rediscover their best form. Michel Der Zakarian’s side could be weary after their midweek match against Clermont and they could be missing some key players with Maxime Estève, Jordan Ferri and Théo Sante-Luce all going off in that game.
