Montpellier’s Coupe de France fixture postponed due to heavy snow

It has been announced that the Coupe de France Round of 32 tie between Montpellier HSC and National 2 side L’Entente Feignies Aulnoye FC (EFAFC) is set to be postponed

The fixture had been scheduled to take place on Saturday at 17:30 local time at the Léo Lagrange Stadium, however, heavy snow has fallen in Nortern France in recent hours, making the pitch unplayable, EFAFC said on their social media channels.

New date for postponed fixture yet to be announced

Montpellier confirmed the news, stating that they expect the game to be postponed. Confirmation from the authorities is expected later today. 

A new date for the fixture has not yet been announced. MHSC beat Amiens SC in the last round of the competition (2-1) thanks to an own goal from Youssouf Assogba and a Kelvin Yeboah penalty. EFAFC, meanwhile, advanced thanks to a slender victory over Ligue 2 outfit Quevilly-Rouen.
